“Come Together: Adventures On The Indie Dancefloor 1989-1992” é uma das propostas do catálogo da Cherry Red para o verão deste ano.

Depois da revolução que a música de dança operou sobre o panorama mainstream na reta final dos anos 80, a chegada dos noventas levou esse mesmo gosto de cruzamentos com os novos hábitos das pistas de dança a terrenos indie. Com a cidade de Manchester como um dos epicentros de acontecimentos (mas na verdade um fenómeno com geografia bem mais alargada), uma cena indie dance ganhou forma e conquistou atenções, colocando na linha da frente das atenções nomes como os Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Primal Scream, Saint Etienne, The Shamen, Inspiral Carpets, The Charlatans ou 808 State, revelando depois epifenómenos em volta de bandas como os Northside, Intastella, New Fast Automatic Daffodils, Paris Angels, Flowered Up, Candy Flip, The Wendys ou World of Twist, entre muitos mais.
